Resurgens Theatre Company returns to the Tavern this Halloween season with Marlowe’s
timeless tragedy of forbidden knowledge and devilish ambition. Directed by Dr.
Brent Griffin, this “original practices” production offers a stripped down,
psychologically driven version of the play that focuses sharply on the
relationship between Faustus and Mephastophilis (and by extension, Faustus and
his own highly vexed conscience). And, with the exception of Faustus, all the
roles will be played by women.
